Narrative:

While changing the right ignition lead on the left engine at outstation; I inadvertently left off the igniter shroud and clamp. Air carrier's part numbers involved XXX and YYY. WX was wind and rain. I put the parts in my tool bag to keep from blowing away. During my double-check of my work (was only technician on job) I failed to catch the shroud. While cleaning wet tools next morning found parts and called maintenance control and notified supervisor.

Title: WHILE CHANGING THE RIGHT IGNITION LEAD ON THE LEFT ENGINE; A B737-400 ACFT MECHANIC INADVERTENTLY LEFT OFF THE IGNITER SHROUD AND CLAMP.

Narrative: WHILE CHANGING THE R IGNITION LEAD ON THE L ENG AT OUTSTATION; I INADVERTENTLY LEFT OFF THE IGNITER SHROUD AND CLAMP. ACR'S PART NUMBERS INVOLVED XXX AND YYY. WX WAS WIND AND RAIN. I PUT THE PARTS IN MY TOOL BAG TO KEEP FROM BLOWING AWAY. DURING MY DOUBLE-CHK OF MY WORK (WAS ONLY TECHNICIAN ON JOB) I FAILED TO CATCH THE SHROUD. WHILE CLEANING WET TOOLS NEXT MORNING FOUND PARTS AND CALLED MAINT CTL AND NOTIFIED SUPVR.
