Narrative:

Approximately 12-13 mi out on a heading vector (heading 180 degrees). We were then cleared to 2700 ft on a heading 240 degrees to intercept the localizer for the ILS runway 27 at vabb. About 3 mi from the localizer centerline we received a terrain terrain alert descending through about 3200 ft. A very short time thereafter we received the pull up pull up warning with red terrain indications. Immediate action reestablished control at 4000 ft. Thereafter we communicated our response to the terrain warning to approach and continued the approach to landing uneventful.
