Narrative:

I was first officer on air carrier X from south bend to kalamazoo. We received our clearance from terre haute radio with a void time of xx:10 zulu. After setting our clocks to xx:01 zulu, given to us by the terre haute flight service specialist we proceeded to runway 27 and started our takeoff roll by zz:10 zulu. When we contacted chicago center in our climb the controller told us that it was 13 after and questioned us on our void time of xx:10. His question was such that we decided to talk with the controllers in kalamazoo about it. They called the control center for us and we found that we were going to be violated. Doesn't void time refer to the takeoff roll not controller contact.
