Narrative:

On final approach to runway 24R at lax; approximately 1 mi outside of jetsa fix at 2500 ft; my first officer and I observed bright green lights coming from the ground below. At first we thought they might be fireworks. We then determined that the lights were too bright and actually seemed to be aimed directly at our aircraft and could possibly be laser lights. After an uneventful landing we contacted ATC over the radio and reported the laser incident. We also noted the previous aircraft landing runway 24R; reported the same laser lights incident on final to runway 24R. After blocking in I contacted lax tower supervisor by phone to pass on all pertinent information regarding the incident. They informed us that local law enforcement had been notified immediately after our initial report.
