Narrative:

On descent; crew deviated south of course on arrival (deviation for WX). WX radar returns indicated heavy rain. Steering clear of cells; aircraft encountered moderate turbulence and heavy rain. Uneventful landing at ZZZ and crew left airplane unaware of hail damage. Duty officer was informed by maintenance that aircraft suffered damage. Duty officer then phoned captain and first officer. Captain and first officer went out to the airplane and noticed hail damage to radome; left landing light; top of right engine pylon. Crew then filed a flight safety report and both are filing NASA reports.

Title: AN ACR CREW REPORTS FINDING HAIL DAMAGE TO THE RADOME; ENG PYLON AND A LNDG LIGHT DURING POST FLT. THE ACFT AVOIDED HVY WX ON THE AIRBORNE RADAR.

Narrative: ON DSCNT; CREW DEVIATED S OF COURSE ON ARR (DEV FOR WX). WX RADAR RETURNS INDICATED HVY RAIN. STEERING CLR OF CELLS; ACFT ENCOUNTERED MODERATE TURB AND HVY RAIN. UNEVENTFUL LNDG AT ZZZ AND CREW LEFT AIRPLANE UNAWARE OF HAIL DAMAGE. DUTY OFFICER WAS INFORMED BY MAINT THAT ACFT SUFFERED DAMAGE. DUTY OFFICER THEN PHONED CAPT AND FO. CAPT AND FO WENT OUT TO THE AIRPLANE AND NOTICED HAIL DAMAGE TO RADOME; L LNDG LIGHT; TOP OF R ENG PYLON. CREW THEN FILED A FLT SAFETY RPT AND BOTH ARE FILING NASA RPTS.
