Narrative:

I was at the north T hangars at osh. I listened to ATIS and expected to taxi to runway 18 for departure (as advised by the ATIS). However; ground told me to taxi to runway 13 instead (apparently the winds had changed). I have never used runway 13 for departure and I was not sure where the hold short line was. I taxied south on taxiway B1 to runway 09-27. Runway 13 intersects 09-27 at that point so I expected to see a runway sign and a hold short line. I saw a sign for runway 09-27 but there was no sign for runway 13-31. I crossed runway 09-27 to the end of runway 13 and stopped. When I called the tower; the controller informed me that I should have held at the hold short line prior to crossing runway 09-27. I acknowledged the mistake and departed. After landing I taxied past the hold short point on taxiway B1 and again noticed the sign for runway 09-27. On the other side of the taxiway there was another sign; but there were no letters or numbers on it. I presume that sign should have said runway 13-31 in red numbers; but there were no numbers on the sign. I realized that I made a mistake; but I feel the missing runway sign contributed to my confusion regarding where to hold short of runway 13. There were no conflicts with other aircraft; just a verbal reprimand from the controller.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter was given a clearance to taxi to runway 13 via taxiway B1. After crossing runway 09-27 he found himself on runway 13. The reporter stated that a sign at the runway 09-27 hold line indicating that it should be used also as the runway 13 hold line would be helpful.

Title: PLT ALLEGES LACK OF SIGNAGE FOR RWY 13 HOLD LINE AT OSH.

Narrative: I WAS AT THE N T HANGARS AT OSH. I LISTENED TO ATIS AND EXPECTED TO TAXI TO RWY 18 FOR DEP (AS ADVISED BY THE ATIS). HOWEVER; GND TOLD ME TO TAXI TO RWY 13 INSTEAD (APPARENTLY THE WINDS HAD CHANGED). I HAVE NEVER USED RWY 13 FOR DEP AND I WAS NOT SURE WHERE THE HOLD SHORT LINE WAS. I TAXIED S ON TXWY B1 TO RWY 09-27. RWY 13 INTERSECTS 09-27 AT THAT POINT SO I EXPECTED TO SEE A RWY SIGN AND A HOLD SHORT LINE. I SAW A SIGN FOR RWY 09-27 BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN FOR RWY 13-31. I CROSSED RWY 09-27 TO THE END OF RWY 13 AND STOPPED. WHEN I CALLED THE TWR; THE CTLR INFORMED ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE HELD AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE PRIOR TO CROSSING RWY 09-27. I ACKNOWLEDGED THE MISTAKE AND DEPARTED. AFTER LNDG I TAXIED PAST THE HOLD SHORT POINT ON TXWY B1 AND AGAIN NOTICED THE SIGN FOR RWY 09-27. ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TXWY THERE WAS ANOTHER SIGN; BUT THERE WERE NO LETTERS OR NUMBERS ON IT. I PRESUME THAT SIGN SHOULD HAVE SAID RWY 13-31 IN RED NUMBERS; BUT THERE WERE NO NUMBERS ON THE SIGN. I REALIZED THAT I MADE A MISTAKE; BUT I FEEL THE MISSING RWY SIGN CONTRIBUTED TO MY CONFUSION REGARDING WHERE TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 13. THERE WERE NO CONFLICTS WITH OTHER ACFT; JUST A VERBAL REPRIMAND FROM THE CTLR.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR WAS GIVEN A CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 13 VIA TXWY B1. AFTER CROSSING RWY 09-27 HE FOUND HIMSELF ON RWY 13. THE RPTR STATED THAT A SIGN AT THE RWY 09-27 HOLD LINE INDICATING THAT IT SHOULD BE USED ALSO AS THE RWY 13 HOLD LINE WOULD BE HELPFUL.
