Narrative:

On departure climb out; noticed the tailskid light came on and remained on after the landing gear handle was raised. Complied with the following QRH procedures: 'tailskid annunciator light illuminated with the gear up' and 'tailskid down altitude limits.' notified company's global operations of situation and requested new fuel requirements for tailskid down confign. Company calculated new fuel requirements and we were within fuel limits to continue to destination. Tailskid light remained on throughout the flight. On postflt; at destination; found that part of the tailskid strut was missing from aircraft. Found no marks or damage on or near the tailskid area and suspect that the strut may have fallen off aircraft after takeoff. Submitted a company flight safety report for 'a possible dropped object.'
