Narrative:
During the service check light test in the flight deck; the P-5 overhead generator drive control module #1 generator high oil temperature light would not test. I finished the inspection and tried to re-lamp the high temperature indicator (no help) the light still would not test. It was getting close to the end of the shift so I pulled a matching generator control module from stock. I removed and replaced the control module per amm. Performed operations check. The operations check was good. I filled out the paperwork; signed the release and returned the logbook to aircraft.
