Narrative:

During L1 door closure prior to pushback; the 'a' flight attendant complained the L1 door closed but felt 'weird' and asked the pilots to check it out. I closed the door and thought it closed normally and asked the 'a' flight attendant if she was comfortable or wanted to have a mechanic check on it. She indicated she was comfortable; but complained on climb out of excessive noise and daylight at the top of the door. Cabin pressurized normally. Also; an L1 door panel was indicated missing on the deferred maintenance list which we thought accounted for the daylight at the top of the door. We entered the L1 door problems in the maintenance logbook after landing in ZZZ. Line maintenance crews did a postflt check on the door and found it was out of rig tolerance. Maintenance also informed us there was a history on this particular door. Next time the 'a' flight attendant informs us of something 'weird' about closing the L1 door; we should simply call maintenance and have them check on it.

Narrative: DURING L1 DOOR CLOSURE PRIOR TO PUSHBACK; THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT COMPLAINED THE L1 DOOR CLOSED BUT FELT 'WEIRD' AND ASKED THE PLTS TO CHK IT OUT. I CLOSED THE DOOR AND THOUGHT IT CLOSED NORMALLY AND ASKED THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT IF SHE WAS COMFORTABLE OR WANTED TO HAVE A MECH CHK ON IT. SHE INDICATED SHE WAS COMFORTABLE; BUT COMPLAINED ON CLBOUT OF EXCESSIVE NOISE AND DAYLIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE DOOR. CABIN PRESSURIZED NORMALLY. WE ENTERED THE L1 DOOR PROBS IN THE MAINT LOGBOOK AFTER LNDG IN ZZZ. LINE MAINT CREWS DID A POSTFLT CHK ON THE DOOR AND FOUND IT WAS OUT OF RIG TOLERANCE. MAINT ALSO INFORMED US THERE WAS A HISTORY ON THIS PARTICULAR DOOR. NEXT TIME THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT INFORMS US OF SOMETHING 'WEIRD' ABOUT CLOSING THE L1 DOOR; WE SHOULD SIMPLY CALL MAINT AND HAVE THEM CHK ON IT.
