Narrative:
Issued a crossing to aircraft #1 of 40 mi south of tvt at FL270. Aircraft #2 was issued FL260. When aircraft #1 read back clearance '4 mi south of tvt' was stated. When I reissued clearance for clarification I said '40 mi south at FL240.' I did not catch my error.

Narrative: ISSUED A XING TO ACFT #1 OF 40 MI S OF TVT AT FL270. ACFT #2 WAS ISSUED FL260. WHEN ACFT #1 READ BACK CLRNC '4 MI S OF TVT' WAS STATED. WHEN I REISSUED CLRNC FOR CLARIFICATION I SAID '40 MI S AT FL240.' I DID NOT CATCH MY ERROR.
