Narrative:

Flight experienced severe air turbulence. I had just walked to monitor at 2R door. I was facing aft about to re-set monitor. Very suddenly the aircraft started to shake violently. I looked for something to hold on to. I felt myself being lifted off floor. I found and grabbed onto hand hold at 2R door with my left hand. I had no control and was forced up to ceiling; hitting my head; bending it forward. I was now holding on with both hands. I was using all my strength trying to hold on. For a second; I could see 2 flight attendants at 2L being lifted off floor. I saw and heard glass breaking and flying out of business class galley out into area I was in. Inserts; carts; food; everything that was in the galley was thrown all over the floor and aisle. Shards of broken glass were everywhere. The turbulence was violent and fast. I came down hard on the 2R door; landing on my left side on the door bustle. The back of my head and neck hurt. My left leg hurt. My arms hurt from being pulled and trying so hard to hold on. I could not move for several mins. I forced myself up when I saw the #4 in the galley. She was hurt and covered in milk and food. She had been hurt in the back and leg. #5 and #7 also came to check on me. I then went up to first class. Passenger in 2D was scared. Her 3 yr old was in 2G sleeping. He had a seatbelt on; but had been lifted off seat. He had started crying; but seatbelt kept him in seat. Passenger in 3D had his papers thrown all over cabin. The first class galley had broken glass; food; carts; everything in it was on the floor and broken. The passenger in 3D got up to look. He said 'this looks like something out of a movie.' he could not believe it. I went to coach to check on the flight attendants in back. No passenger were hurt that I observed. The flight attendants were very shaken. I went back to the front. I sat in the #1 jumpseat and started to call cockpit. One of the pilots was out and could not believe what galley looked like. The captain came out a short time after to see and check on flight attendants. He stated he would land in tjsj if we needed to. The captain told me the cockpit was a mess. They did have seatbelts on or they would have been thrown out of their seats. The seatbelt sign was on at time of turbulence.
