Narrative:
On may/sat/06; I was improperly placarded for deferral an APU bleed air control valve on aircraft X. I never placarded before. I was instructed to contact maintenance control. I received the MEL reference; I was not aware of mpm procedure; nor did maintenance control offer any information; I failed to note the mpm in the logbook signoff. I have since reviewed gpm 5-01 and logbook qualifications.

Narrative: ON MAY/SAT/06; I WAS IMPROPERLY PLACARDED FOR DEFERRAL AN APU BLEED AIR CTL VALVE ON ACFT X. I NEVER PLACARDED BEFORE. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT MAINT CTL. I RECEIVED THE MEL REF; I WAS NOT AWARE OF MPM PROC; NOR DID MAINT CTL OFFER ANY INFO; I FAILED TO NOTE THE MPM IN THE LOGBOOK SIGNOFF. I HAVE SINCE REVIEWED GPM 5-01 AND LOGBOOK QUALIFICATIONS.
