Narrative:

Gate agent asked my assistance on window heat problem. Contacted MD80 maintenance to help me troubleshoot window heat by phone. Swapped wires on switch per maintenance control and accomplished system check. Check ok on ground. From this day forward I will require a facsimile of maintenance manual instead verbal communication. I accomplished the work via phone communication with maintenance control instead of having maintenance manual faxed to me.
