Narrative:
B737 was climbing to FL330 requesting FL370. On initial call-up; I inadvertently climbed B737 to FL350 which was the same altitude of the traffic I was trying to miss (air carrier Y). B737 was already past the traffic and not an imminent threat before mode C revealed that I had issued a different altitude than that which was entered in the data block.
