I was assigned to aircraft X on nov/sun/04 to address PIREP (fuel smell in cabin). Performed investigative troubleshooting. Fuel smell was noted in aft cabin. Unable to locate source. Aircraft was taken to hangar for suspected leak in aft auxiliary fuel cell. Requiring tank entry. Troubleshooting information recorded on air carrier form. Received phone call about logbook record falsification using my name and employee number by maintenance mgrs. No positive fix to aircraft. Aircraft released for service.
