Narrative:

On jul/sat/04, I was called for day shift overtime at XA00 by the dispatch manager. Being half asleep, I accepted, thinking I would be legal since I had worked an afternoon shift the day before, assuming 24 hour break when I actually had 23 hour break. The day before I started at XJ00 hours, not XK00 hours. The scheduling computer system was missed at the callout time, but picked it up going forward which was after the fact during the day shift in violation. This was an honest mistake on my part because I assumed that I was legal when I received the call in the early morning of jul/sat/04 from the manager. The error was discovered when I was being considered for overtime on aug/sun/04 again.
