Narrative:

At security check-point, 2 flight attendants went through, then first officer, myself, and last flight attendant. The bag screener took longer than normal at first officer's bag. Screener called another tsa person over to look at x-ray. Told first officer they needed to look inside his bag. He said ok. My bags came through x-ray, I took my bags and told first officer I'll get paperwork in operations and meet him at airplane. I left thinking first officer will be along soon. After getting paperwork, I proceeded to the gate. The gate agent told me 3 police officers came and took first officer away for alcohol suspicion. I notified dispatch, then I went to put my bags on airplane and start preflight. After some time, I found first officer and he said, he had drank some alcohol last night and tsa found alcohol in his bag. First officer was detained for breath test. Another first officer was called out from hotel and we flew trip.
