Narrative:

We were at the gate at ZZZ just ready to push back when ground crew removed a passenger's checked bag. The cabin door was open and flight attendant was talking to the gate agent standing on the jetway. The cockpit door was open but with the ramp noise I could not hear their conversation. After we took off about 1 hour into the flight; the flight attendant called me on the intercom phone and asked me if I wanted to know why we were delayed for pushback at ZZZ. I said yes I would like to know. She told me that the ZZZ ramp agents had to pull one of our passenger's (that did not get on the flight) checked bag; because they were caught at the tsa security check point with a razor blade in their shoe. I really believe the ZZZ ground security coordinator should have advised me of the situation before we left ZZZ. Thank you for your help in this matter.
