Narrative:

On apr/sun/04, I assigned amt mr X to aircraft X to comply with a service check at approximately XA00. The check paperwork was in hand. The amt proceeded to check the landing gear and found a discrepancy with the #3 main tire pressure at 135 psi, which required replacement of the wheel assembly. The assigned amt failed to put the discrepancy in the aircraft logbook, which resulted in the flight crew being unaware of the problem and taking the aircraft with no corrective action taken. I was informed of the situation on my return to work the following evening.
