Narrative:

Ccs was operating on runway 9, as usual. From the #1 position, first officer reported 'ready for takeoff.' tower stated, 'cleared for takeoff.' I checked final, and there was a light twin on short final. First officer told tower there was an aircraft on final, and they again cleared us for takeoff. I then told tower there was an aircraft landing on the runway and asked them to confirm the clearance. By this time the twin was on the runway, and tower said,' uh, line up and wait.' after the twin cleared the runway, tower said, 'cleared for takeoff. Sorry.'
