Narrative:

While cruising at FL290 in VMC, we were alerted by TCASII of traffic. Traffic was visible on the display at 1 O'clock position and 6 mi. Within seconds, we received an RA and 'climb, climb' with the ivsi display requesting a climb rate of greater than 3000 ft for avoidance. We complied with the RA directive, climbing to FL296 and leveling as the traffic passed off to our right, about 3 mi and '-1100' ft showing for his altitude. We then descended to FL290 and advised ATC. They acknowledged with no further comments.
