Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 13, we were cleared for takeoff to fly the runway heading and maintain 5000 ft. After takeoff, while climbing we received a TCASII RA to 'descend, descend now.' while complying with the RA, we noticed a cessna on our right and making a turn to his left and descending to clear us. ATC asked if we were turning to the north. We were not given any instruction to turn. We then were given a turn to 360 degrees and to join the pia 35 degree radial on course. Upon arrival at ord, we asked the flight attendant if any passenger had mentioned anything. Apparently no one had noticed the near miss. We called the pia ATC from the chief pilot's office and informed the chief pilot of the incident. Remainder of the flight was normal.
