Narrative:

I was working sectors #1 and #2 combined (fyv low, hot low). The aircraft BE40 requested descent from FL230 for arrival at fsm. I assigned BE40 10000 ft. Due to flight plan processing problems, rzc approach did not have flight plan information. I thought I had made a handoff to rzc approach and switched BE40 to the appropriate sector. Shortly thereafter, a d-side (radar associate) plugged in to assist me and asked if I had handed BE40 off. At this point I realized that rzc approach did not have an automated handoff and called rzc approach to verify they had radar contact.

Title: ZME CTLR EXPERIENCED OPDEV ENTERING RZC AIRSPACE WITHOUT COORD HDOF.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING SECTORS #1 AND #2 COMBINED (FYV LOW, HOT LOW). THE ACFT BE40 REQUESTED DSCNT FROM FL230 FOR ARR AT FSM. I ASSIGNED BE40 10000 FT. DUE TO FLT PLAN PROCESSING PROBS, RZC APCH DID NOT HAVE FLT PLAN INFO. I THOUGHT I HAD MADE A HDOF TO RZC APCH AND SWITCHED BE40 TO THE APPROPRIATE SECTOR. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, A D-SIDE (RADAR ASSOCIATE) PLUGGED IN TO ASSIST ME AND ASKED IF I HAD HANDED BE40 OFF. AT THIS POINT I REALIZED THAT RZC APCH DID NOT HAVE AN AUTOMATED HDOF AND CALLED RZC APCH TO VERIFY THEY HAD RADAR CONTACT.
