Narrative:

On oct/thu/03, aircraft X arrived at ZZZ airport gate X with an ecias message 'elev feel' displayed. While troubleshooting per the fault isolation manual (fim) one of the troubleshooting steps was misinterpreted and consequently resulted in the step to be omitted from the troubleshooting process. The step omitted was supply pressure to the auxiliary pitot system. Prior to aircraft departure from station error was caught, auxiliary pitot system was pressurized with no leaks detected.

Title: A B757-200 WITH EICAS MESSAGE 'ELEV FEEL.' WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING PER THE MANUAL AN AUX PITOT SYS TEST WAS INADVERTENTLY OMITTED.

Narrative: ON OCT/THU/03, ACFT X ARRIVED AT ZZZ ARPT GATE X WITH AN ECIAS MESSAGE 'ELEV FEEL' DISPLAYED. WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING PER THE FAULT ISOLATION MANUAL (FIM) ONE OF THE TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS WAS MISINTERPRETED AND CONSEQUENTLY RESULTED IN THE STEP TO BE OMITTED FROM THE TROUBLESHOOTING PROCESS. THE STEP OMITTED WAS SUPPLY PRESSURE TO THE AUX PITOT SYS. PRIOR TO ACFT DEP FROM STATION ERROR WAS CAUGHT, AUX PITOT SYS WAS PRESSURIZED WITH NO LEAKS DETECTED.
