Narrative:

During initial climb to 10000 ft, at 3000 ft, heard loud bang followed by a #1 engine failure, completed memory items and secured the engine followed by the quick reference handbook for a single engine landing with the accordance to the airplane flight manual, declared an emergency with ZZZ. After all checklists preformed the flight attendant was notified. Came back landed at ZZZ airport uneventfully. No injuries, taxied to the gate with the crash fire rescue equipment standing by. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the maintenance findings were the forward N2 compressor bearing #3 failed. The reporter said the engine was changed and sent to the manufacturer for overhaul. Callback conversation from acn 597692 revealed the following information: the reporter stated the engine was changed and maintenance reported the front N2 compressor bearing failed.

Narrative: DURING INITIAL CLB TO 10000 FT, AT 3000 FT, HEARD LOUD BANG FOLLOWED BY A #1 ENGINE FAILURE, COMPLETED MEMORY ITEMS AND SECURED THE ENGINE FOLLOWED BY THE QUICK REFERENCE HANDBOOK FOR A SINGLE ENGINE LNDG WITH THE ACCORDANCE TO THE AIRPLANE FLT MANUAL, DECLARED AN EMER WITH ZZZ. AFTER ALL CHKLISTS PREFORMED THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS NOTIFIED. CAME BACK LANDED AT ZZZ ARPT UNEVENTFULLY. NO INJURIES, TAXIED TO THE GATE WITH THE CFR STANDING BY.
