Narrative:

Aircraft #2 was assigned a 265 degree heading for climb, reaching FL350 cleared direct gld. Next controller called to verbalize a pointout at FL330 and to tell my radar to leave aircraft #2 on a 265 degree heading for additional traffic. Radar rogered the request. Radar switched communications on aircraft #2 and told aircraft #2 next sector was aware of the heading and would have on course clearing additional traffic. Radar didn't give aircraft #2 clearance to change original clearance. Reaching FL350 aircraft #2 turned right direct gld and separation was lost with aircraft #1.
