Narrative:

On taxi in, the marshaler marshaled the aircraft to the wrong has mark on the j-line, causing the left wing outboard of the engine to strike the jetway. There were no passenger injuries. I believe this incident could have been prevented if the j-line markings had been better marked (not faded or smudged). The aircraft type couldn't be read.

Title: B737 STRUCK JETWAY WITH WINGTIP WHILE BEING GUIDED IN TO GATE AT CYYZ.

Narrative: ON TAXI IN, THE MARSHALER MARSHALED THE ACFT TO THE WRONG HAS MARK ON THE J-LINE, CAUSING THE L WING OUTBOARD OF THE ENG TO STRIKE THE JETWAY. THERE WERE NO PAX INJURIES. I BELIEVE THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THE J-LINE MARKINGS HAD BEEN BETTER MARKED (NOT FADED OR SMUDGED). THE ACFT TYPE COULDN'T BE READ.
