Narrative:

During a parts and material audit check on aircraft X the nosewheels were changed. The tags that I received on my desk show that position #1 has a 700 series nosewheel and position #2 has a 300/500 series nosewheel. The parts tag from vendor verifies the above part and serial numbers to be correct. I called mx control, who showed aircraft X to be in ZZZ1. He was going to ensure that everything was corrected.
