Narrative:

I was doing touch-and-goes at cmi when my GPS, radios and communication #1 became inoperative. Communication #2 had partial failure in-flight receive capabilities only. Various corrective activities were taken with no effect. I did 1 touch-and-go without being cleared. The tower gave a light gun signal, which I did not see, so I went around. At this point, I regained transmitting capability, called tower, and was cleared to land. I did not land immediately because I did not see the light gun signals.
