Narrative:

Taxi for departure, thinking runway 16, received position and hold for runway 20. Runways 16 and 20 intersect at departure end. Lined up for runway 16 even though clearance was for runway 20. Tower confirmed ok for runway 16. Received takeoff clearance for runway 16 and departed without incident. Moral of the story: very easy to get locked into action course but bypass step in process. My mindset was takeoff on runway 16, longer runway.

Title: AFTER BEING CLRED ONTO RWY 20 AT RIC, FLT CREW OF S80 TAXIED ONTO RWY 16. LCL CTLR ADVISED OF ERROR, RECLRED THEM TO REMAIN ON RWY 16 AND CLRED THEM FOR TKOF.
