Narrative:

Given hold at heatt intersection, then cleared direct lonni, then cleared to heatt and hold, which we were already past. We made the 180 degree, then entered holding at heatt, after 1 turn, we requested another place to hold or a vector, because the WX was closing in, and the ride was continuous moderate. Then we were cleared direct mrlin and hold as published. Since we were on the heatt arrival to miami and did not have ft lauderdale charts out, I asked the controller for the phonetic of mrlin. She refused to give it to me, and said it was on the ft lauderdale arrival and hold as published. I guessed the phonetic, and we started toward it. By the time I had the plate out and the holding pattern built, we were in it. The wind was 60 KTS, pushing us out of the holding pattern. We were outside of protected airspace by approximately 1 mi, when the controller gave us a 340 degree heading, and informed us we were outside the airspace. The aircraft behind us also refused to hold at heatt, and was given mrlin, and they received the same radio call about being out of protected airspace. At the time of the event, miami was closed due to thunderstorms, and ft lauderdale and pbi were intermittently closed due to thunderstorms.

Title: B757-200 CREW FLEW OUTSIDE THE CONFINES OF THE HOLDING POINT AIRSPACE AFTER THE ZMA CTLR ISSUED CLRNC, AN INTXN NOT ON THE ENRTE OR DEST CHART PAGES, AND REFUSED TO GIVE THEM THE PHONETIC SPELLING OF THE INTXN SO THE CREW COULD ENTER IT IN THE FMC.

Narrative: GIVEN HOLD AT HEATT INTXN, THEN CLRED DIRECT LONNI, THEN CLRED TO HEATT AND HOLD, WHICH WE WERE ALREADY PAST. WE MADE THE 180 DEG, THEN ENTERED HOLDING AT HEATT, AFTER 1 TURN, WE REQUESTED ANOTHER PLACE TO HOLD OR A VECTOR, BECAUSE THE WX WAS CLOSING IN, AND THE RIDE WAS CONTINUOUS MODERATE. THEN WE WERE CLRED DIRECT MRLIN AND HOLD AS PUBLISHED. SINCE WE WERE ON THE HEATT ARR TO MIAMI AND DID NOT HAVE FT LAUDERDALE CHARTS OUT, I ASKED THE CTLR FOR THE PHONETIC OF MRLIN. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME, AND SAID IT WAS ON THE FT LAUDERDALE ARR AND HOLD AS PUBLISHED. I GUESSED THE PHONETIC, AND WE STARTED TOWARD IT. BY THE TIME I HAD THE PLATE OUT AND THE HOLDING PATTERN BUILT, WE WERE IN IT. THE WIND WAS 60 KTS, PUSHING US OUT OF THE HOLDING PATTERN. WE WERE OUTSIDE OF PROTECTED AIRSPACE BY APPROX 1 MI, WHEN THE CTLR GAVE US A 340 DEG HDG, AND INFORMED US WE WERE OUTSIDE THE AIRSPACE. THE ACFT BEHIND US ALSO REFUSED TO HOLD AT HEATT, AND WAS GIVEN MRLIN, AND THEY RECEIVED THE SAME RADIO CALL ABOUT BEING OUT OF PROTECTED AIRSPACE. AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT, MIAMI WAS CLOSED DUE TO TSTMS, AND FT LAUDERDALE AND PBI WERE INTERMITTENTLY CLOSED DUE TO TSTMS.
