Narrative:

I am writing this report in regards to a flight on which I was assigned as a crew member by my company. The flight was a part 91 ferry flight. I arrived at the company hangar to find the first officer preflting the aircraft. He had been dropped off at the aircraft by the director of dispatch and had our paperwork for the flight. I reviewed the paperwork and found everything to be in order. This included the aircraft logbook, with the appropriate maintenance ferry flight endorsement, and the FAA issued ferry permit for the aircraft. All required paperwork was on the aircraft. The first officer informed me that dispatch had filed our IFR flight plan and assigned us the company flight number. We conducted the flight under the conditions stipulated by the ferry permit: minimum required flight crew (captain and first officer), no passenger/cargo, and we had been approved for IMC flight. The following day, I was told that the FAA was making an inquiry into the ferry flight. I was told the aircraft I flew was not on the air carrier certificate and should not have been flown under a company call sign. I have no knowledge of this. I conducted the flight in accordance with the far's, operations manual, and the FAA ferry permit as directed by my company dispatch office.
