Narrative:
Lost electrical power including radios, lights (interior/exterior), transponder, gear indication, etc, within 10 mi of orl, after departure on tropic 2 northeast departure at 1500 ft. Used handheld radio to contact orl tower for return to landing. Maintained VMC. Made a low approach for tower to visually confirm gear down. Returned for landing on runway 7. Safely touched down without event. There were multiple aircraft on the ILS 7 approach at the time.

Title: COMPLETE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL PWR AFTER TKOF IN A PA23-250.
Narrative: LOST ELECTRICAL PWR INCLUDING RADIOS, LIGHTS (INTERIOR/EXTERIOR), XPONDER, GEAR INDICATION, ETC, WITHIN 10 MI OF ORL, AFTER DEP ON TROPIC 2 NE DEP AT 1500 FT. USED HANDHELD RADIO TO CONTACT ORL TWR FOR RETURN TO LNDG. MAINTAINED VMC. MADE A LOW APCH FOR TWR TO VISUALLY CONFIRM GEAR DOWN. RETURNED FOR LNDG ON RWY 7. SAFELY TOUCHED DOWN WITHOUT EVENT. THERE WERE MULTIPLE ACFT ON THE ILS 7 APCH AT THE TIME.
