Narrative:

Leading slat disagreement air interrupt. Selected flaps 1 degree. Flap needle stopped between zero and 1 and the leading edge slat disagreement light came on. Accomplished checklist and light came back on. Diverted to ZZZ for longer runway and air carrier maintenance since landing speed was vref +30 KTS. Declared emergency with ATC. Landing, rollout, and taxi back to terminal were uneventful.
