Narrative:

On departure from private grass strip airport, the left landing gear strut was broken from hitting an unknown obstacle. With gear damage to the retractable undercarriage, I chose to perform a gear up landing at the closest airport with qualified emergency services which was cmh. I did not have my airmans certificate or my current medical on my person when I had to perform the gear up landing at cmh.

Narrative: ON DEP FROM PVT GRASS STRIP ARPT, THE L LNDG GEAR STRUT WAS BROKEN FROM HITTING AN UNKNOWN OBSTACLE.
