Narrative:

I was the PF. We landed at sdf runway 35L. At the end of the landing rollout, the captain took control of the aircraft. Tower cleared us to turn off on taxiway G. We were still rolling fairly fast. The captain mistakenly began a turn off onto runway 11, which is located next to taxiway G. I said we were turning onto the runway, but it was too late. Runway 11 was not in use at the time and there was no other traffic. We exited the runway at the next taxiway and taxied to the gate without further incident. There was no comment on the radio from either tower or ground control. In retrospect, the captain's visibility is limited on the aircraft's right side, and when he began his turnoff, he could see the taxiway G sign, but not the runway 11 painted marks until we were committed to the turn, and thought he was turning onto taxiway G. More vigilance on our part would have prevented this incursion.

Title: FOKKER 100 CAPT MISTAKENLY TURNED OFF RWY 11 AFTER LNDG RWY 35L INSTEAD OF TXWY G INSTRUCTED BY TWR.

Narrative: I WAS THE PF. WE LANDED AT SDF RWY 35L. AT THE END OF THE LNDG ROLLOUT, THE CAPT TOOK CTL OF THE ACFT. TWR CLRED US TO TURN OFF ON TXWY G. WE WERE STILL ROLLING FAIRLY FAST. THE CAPT MISTAKENLY BEGAN A TURN OFF ONTO RWY 11, WHICH IS LOCATED NEXT TO TXWY G. I SAID WE WERE TURNING ONTO THE RWY, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. RWY 11 WAS NOT IN USE AT THE TIME AND THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC. WE EXITED THE RWY AT THE NEXT TXWY AND TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE WAS NO COMMENT ON THE RADIO FROM EITHER TWR OR GND CTL. IN RETROSPECT, THE CAPT'S VISIBILITY IS LIMITED ON THE ACFT'S R SIDE, AND WHEN HE BEGAN HIS TURNOFF, HE COULD SEE THE TXWY G SIGN, BUT NOT THE RWY 11 PAINTED MARKS UNTIL WE WERE COMMITTED TO THE TURN, AND THOUGHT HE WAS TURNING ONTO TXWY G. MORE VIGILANCE ON OUR PART WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS INCURSION.
