Narrative:

While I started from jzi on an IFR flight plan to pdk, I canceled the IFR east of ags and proceeded to pdk VFR with radar flight following. I was handed off to atlanta approach on 119.3 and continued my direct flight to pdk. At approximately 6 mi outside the atl class B airspace, I encountered several skydivers above and to the front of me. I turned left 90 degrees until clear of them and then resumed my course to pdk. I advised atl approach of them and he replied that he was 'not advised.' while the airport director mentions the skydiving activity, there are no NOTAMS issued, and the jump plane was not talking to approach control. This activity would be much safer if the jump plane was talking to atl approach.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT EXPERIENCED BY AN SK76 SPIRIT HELI PLT AND SEVERAL SKYDIVERS 2 NM E OF D73, GA.

Narrative: WHILE I STARTED FROM JZI ON AN IFR FLT PLAN TO PDK, I CANCELED THE IFR E OF AGS AND PROCEEDED TO PDK VFR WITH RADAR FLT FOLLOWING. I WAS HANDED OFF TO ATLANTA APCH ON 119.3 AND CONTINUED MY DIRECT FLT TO PDK. AT APPROX 6 MI OUTSIDE THE ATL CLASS B AIRSPACE, I ENCOUNTERED SEVERAL SKYDIVERS ABOVE AND TO THE FRONT OF ME. I TURNED L 90 DEGS UNTIL CLR OF THEM AND THEN RESUMED MY COURSE TO PDK. I ADVISED ATL APCH OF THEM AND HE REPLIED THAT HE WAS 'NOT ADVISED.' WHILE THE ARPT DIRECTOR MENTIONS THE SKYDIVING ACTIVITY, THERE ARE NO NOTAMS ISSUED, AND THE JUMP PLANE WAS NOT TALKING TO APCH CTL. THIS ACTIVITY WOULD BE MUCH SAFER IF THE JUMP PLANE WAS TALKING TO ATL APCH.
