Narrative:

Departing mia we selected the landing gear to the up position and it did not retract properly. The indication we had on both panels showed the left main gear with a red unlock indication. We recycled the gear down and back up -- with the same results. We notified ATC that we needed to return to mia and followed all checklists. Notified operations we were returning. Briefed the passenger and landed normally. We did not declare an emergency but did have a crash fire rescue equipment truck follow our landing roll out just for precautionary measure.
