Narrative:

Another aircraft and ourselves received engine start clearance and were told to expedite because they did not know how long white intersection would be open. The other aircraft was told to taxi and hold short of runway 19. We were told to follow the other aircraft and also to hold short of runway 19. The departing runway was runway 25. I, the first officer and PF, followed the other aircraft to the approach end of runway 19. The other aircraft crossed the hold short line and was then cleared to taxi to runway 25. At this point I realized I had crossed the hold short line because I saw the runway. I stopped immediately still on the taxiway. At this point ground control asked if we had crossed the hold short line. We acknowledged we had. I see 3 contributing factors to crossing the hold short line: 1) hurrying to get in place for departure. 2) assuming another aircraft is doing the right thing. 3) perceiving that the hold short line will be after a bend in the parallel taxiway. A chain of events took place that caused crossing the hold short line. However, I would not have taxied onto the active runway. I missed the sign and still stopped knowing I was to hold short.

Title: AN H25B CREW, TAXIING FOR TKOF AT TEB, CROSSED A HOLD SHORT LINE WITHOUT A CLRNC.

Narrative: ANOTHER ACFT AND OURSELVES RECEIVED ENG START CLRNC AND WERE TOLD TO EXPEDITE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW LONG WHITE INTXN WOULD BE OPEN. THE OTHER ACFT WAS TOLD TO TAXI AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19. WE WERE TOLD TO FOLLOW THE OTHER ACFT AND ALSO TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 19. THE DEPARTING RWY WAS RWY 25. I, THE FO AND PF, FOLLOWED THE OTHER ACFT TO THE APCH END OF RWY 19. THE OTHER ACFT CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND WAS THEN CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 25. AT THIS POINT I REALIZED I HAD CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE BECAUSE I SAW THE RWY. I STOPPED IMMEDIATELY STILL ON THE TXWY. AT THIS POINT GND CTL ASKED IF WE HAD CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE ACKNOWLEDGED WE HAD. I SEE 3 CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO XING THE HOLD SHORT LINE: 1) HURRYING TO GET IN PLACE FOR DEP. 2) ASSUMING ANOTHER ACFT IS DOING THE RIGHT THING. 3) PERCEIVING THAT THE HOLD SHORT LINE WILL BE AFTER A BEND IN THE PARALLEL TXWY. A CHAIN OF EVENTS TOOK PLACE THAT CAUSED XING THE HOLD SHORT LINE. HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT HAVE TAXIED ONTO THE ACTIVE RWY. I MISSED THE SIGN AND STILL STOPPED KNOWING I WAS TO HOLD SHORT.
