Narrative:

On mar/thu/02 day shift, I may have improperly installed a pylon access panel. The panel was opened for inspection on a right engine change. I closed it after inspection finished. The panel was missing on a flight later in the day. This was noticed by a passenger and called to the flight crew's attention. Upon landing, a cdl was issued for a missing panel. The panel was replaced the following day. To the best of my knowledge the panel was secure at the time I cleared this item on the job procedure card.
