Narrative:

We were given taxi instructions at pit to taxi via taxiway C and hold short of taxiway V to expect runway 28R. While on taxiway C, ground gave us instructions to taxi to runway 28R, transition from taxiway C to taxiway B via taxiway V. The clearance was read back by my first officer. While transitioning from taxiway C to taxiway B on taxiway V, ground control advised us that we 'blew the stop sign.' we informed him of the readback but he said that the instruction to disregard the hold short of taxiway V was not issued. There was not another aircraft involved or an incursion of any type.
