Narrative:

Began taxiing out from ramp. Was informed of runway 31 (change). Was planning on runway 23. Runway was changed in FMC, checked new leveloff altitude and cleared for takeoff. Brought power up to 1.1 EPR, set N1/EPR switch. Once power came up, received flap confign warning. Captain was at the controls for takeoff. I brought the throttles back and exited the runway at first taxiway in dsm, taxiway C for runway 31. I realized my mistake, exited the runway. We set the appropriate flap setting and a normal second takeoff. Planned on runway 23, but on talking to tower, they gave us runway 31. The call is to tower, because you need to get clearance to cross runway 31 to get to runway 23. Need to be more attentive to short taxi and changes.
