Narrative:
After pushback, pvd ground cleared our aircraft to runway 23L via txwys north, M, and a. Just prior to crossing runway 34, ground issued an immediate stop and we complied as an aircraft (SF340) was on the landing rollout on runway 34. Our aircraft did not transition runway 34 and ground apologized for their error.

Narrative: AFTER PUSHBACK, PVD GND CLRED OUR ACFT TO RWY 23L VIA TXWYS N, M, AND A. JUST PRIOR TO XING RWY 34, GND ISSUED AN IMMEDIATE STOP AND WE COMPLIED AS AN ACFT (SF340) WAS ON THE LNDG ROLLOUT ON RWY 34. OUR ACFT DID NOT TRANSITION RWY 34 AND GND APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR ERROR.
