Narrative:

Departed heliport ZZZ1 in PA en route to ZZZ2. Because of WX (snow) in area, the route chosen was thru xyz. Flew direct to ZZZ3, to avoid WX, then to ZZZ4. On the leg to ZZZ2, we flew directly over ZZZ5 over ZZZ6 and then called ZZZ tower just west of ZZZ6 to get clearance thru their airspace. Tower replied that we were in the expanded restr area P40/R4009. We were not aware restr area had expanded. Flight service did not mention this extension during the flight brief. ZZZ tower told us to turn northwest and to call center at next stop. The next day, the captain called back to the FSS to find out about this restr area extension and was told by the FSS specialist that he was unaware of this. He then checked notification logs and could not find anything regarding P40/R4009. The universal FMS and the argus 7000 ce and VFR chart all showed us well clear of this area. Supplemental information from acn 542014: I called center and spoke with a supervisor. He said we could have flown into the extension area. I then called back to center on 3/mon/02 and spoke again with a specialist. He told me that they have had between 50-60 airplanes/aircraft that have not received any information on the camp david extension. We used all available information for this trip ie FSS, current sectionals, current charts, argus 7000C/east moving map, FMS uws identification. All our instruments, charts, maps and area maps showed us clear to the north.
