Narrative:

My student was going to do takeoffs and lndgs for his second solo. After getting out of the aircraft, I saw another aircraft turning on a long base leg. I was running to the unicom radio to warn student of the aircraft and not to cross the active runway. Due to construction, all aircraft must cross runway 3/21 for takeoff on runway 3. Before I could get to the radio, he pulled onto the active in front of a jet westwind. He said that he did not hear any xmissions from the jet and did not see it. The westwind was in a low approach and evidently hidden from student's view. The westwind executed a go around from about 150-200 ft AGL. A discussion was held between all pilots and I spent considerable time with the student on the matter. He has learned much from this experience.
