Narrative:

I was notified today mar/wed/02, XA00 am, on feb/thu/02, I took a call for aircraft for a broken yaw damper switch. I called for a P5-3 module on the radio. Another mechanic brought me the unit. I then called the coordinator for an effectivity check for part number. Was told 'yes.' I then removed and replaced unit. No defects noted. Aircraft was released for service. Note: after notification I reviewed paperwork for P5-3 module part number and this part number is good for aircraft XXX through YYY.
