Narrative:

Pushback incident. The ground crew was pushing us off the gate. During engine start, an electrical problem developed. After pushback, the push crew called for parking brakes set. The captain advised that the parking brake was set, but to stay connected because we were working on a problem and that we may have to return to the gate. We got permission from ramp to return to the gate. Captain advised push crew to return to gate and that he was releasing the brakes. The push crew advised ok. The aircraft rolled forward slightly, making contact with the tow bar. Captain immediately set the brakes, realizing that the tow bar was disconnected. Ground crew inspected aircraft, found no damage. Crew moved the tug and captain taxied aircraft back to the gate. Aircraft was inspected by maintenance -- no damage to aircraft.
