Narrative:

At approximately XA00 hours, I departure ZZZ airport from runway xy and after clearing the pattern, turned to a heading of 280 degrees for approximately 4 miles. I am familiar with the expanded airspace at P40. In fact I had the expanded airspace charted on my sectional chart and planned my flight accordingly around the airspace. When I arrived over the ZZZ1 airport, I reported my position to the tower and they informed me that I had violated the expanded P40. I immediately asked for permission to land at ZZZ1 and immediately called the FAA service station via telephone. I pride myself on strict adherence with far at all times. To the best of my knowledge I do not believe that I entered the expanded P40 airspace.
