Narrative:

VFR cruise at 5500 en route to ZZZ1. Diverted to ZZZ2 to stop and check WX because of lowering ceilings ahead. Was monitoring frequency 121.5. ZZZ military approach called and advised unidentified aircraft south of ZZZ to identify itself. Switched to frequency instructed and provided identifying information. I received a standard flight briefing that morning via telephone from ZZZ3 FSS. The briefer was less than helpful, advising that the WX was improving so I should be 'good to go.' had to drag details of WX from briefer. Specifically asked about any flight restrs and was told that there were just the ones that had been in effect for a while about not loitering over power plants and dams and to be familiar with intercept procedures. No mention of ZZZ no fly zone.

ZZZ MIL APCH CALLED AND ADVISED UNIDENTIFIED ACFT S OF ZZZ TO IDENTIFY ITSELF. SWITCHED TO FREQ INSTRUCTED AND PROVIDED IDENTIFYING INFORMATION. I RECEIVED A STANDARD FLT BRIEFING THAT MORNING VIA TELEPHONE FROM ZZZ3 FSS. THE BRIEFER WAS LESS THAN HELPFUL, ADVISING THAT THE WX WAS IMPROVING SO I SHOULD BE 'GOOD TO GO.' HAD TO DRAG DETAILS OF WX FROM BRIEFER. SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT ANY FLT RESTRS AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE JUST THE ONES THAT HAD BEEN IN EFFECT FOR A WHILE ABOUT NOT LOITERING OVER PWR PLANTS AND DAMS AND TO BE FAMILIAR WITH INTERCEPT PROCS. NO MENTION OF ZZZ NO FLY ZONE.
