Narrative:

I keep my aircraft (super cub) based at a grass strip. I watched the local tv stations at XA00 and bought and early edition paper at XA20. Both stated that the flying ban was to be lifted. I do not have a tv in my office nor do I listen to a radio all day at work. I did watch the news at XL00 and they said all commercial flts were grounded. I regret going flying, but I misinterpreted the statements made in the paper and on tv. I didn't think it applied to GA aircraft. When I saw the state trooper at my neighbor's runway, he motioned for me to land. I landed and left my plane in my neighbor's hangar.
